Yes we are again offering scholarships for this exciting, innovative conference!

PAPSRS will be offering $6,800 in scholarships for the conference.

Go to www.papsrs.org to download a scholarship application.
Applications will be available by November 30, 2011.
Deadline for submission is
February 1, 2012

This year's conference is featuring:

Dr. Michael Fowlin: Nationally known actor and psychologist, Michael deals with the issues of race, discrimination, violence prevention, personal identity, suicide, gender equity, homophobia, and emotional pain. Michael’s mission is to create an atmosphere of worldwide inclusion, not just tolerance, towards all people.

Victoria Maxwell: Actress, researcher, educator, and mental health worker, Victoria describes the light and dark side of living with bipolar disorder, anxiety and psychosis. Her funny and truthful play both entertains and educates, exploding stigmas and portraying the love and resilience it takes to stay together as a family in the mist of illness.

Dr. Fred Frese: Nationally known psychologist, speaker and educator. Dr. Frese has been featured in the video I'm Still Here: The Truth about Schizophrenia. Dr. Frese speaks about the process of developing schizophrenia, living with the disorder and has developed 12 aspects of coping with the illness.

David Granirer: Founder of Stand Up for Mental Health. David is a stand up comedian who teaches stand up to people with mental illness. David who suffers from depression looks at how humor can build confidence and help fight stigma.

Reasonable Accommodation for People with Disabilities
regarding Member-services, Training and Conferences


The Board of Directors of PAPSRS is committed to providing equal opportunity and reasonable accommodation to people with physical, sensory and communication limitations in all member services, Training sessions and our Annual Conference.
To this end:
• The location of all Conference and Training offering will be accessible to persons with disabilities
• Application materials for all training will inquire about any special accommodation requested
• Reasonable Accommodation will be provided to attendees with sensory or communication needs
• Hospitality space will be provided including the opportunity for quiet and privacy if needed.
• Support will be available, as needed, at Conferences
These and other accommodations and support services will be the standard for all Member-services, Training and Conference offerings of PAPSRS.

This policy adopted by majority vote of the Board of Directors on September 11, 2009.
