PAPSRS Training Opportunities
In the rapidly growing and changing field of recovery-oriented psychiatric rehabilitation services, improving our skills and upgrading our knowledge base are key to staying ahead and moving creatively and effectively into the future. Training and education are essential for agency management and practitioners dedicated to providing quality psychiatric and rehabilitation services. There are three ways that PAPSRS can assist your organization to enhance competencies and to provide opportunities for psychiatric rehabilitation professionals to achieve their personal career goals: (1) Workshops and Institutes offered at our Annual Conference; (2) CPRP preparation workshops; and (3) Technical Assistance requests for specific consultations with your organization.

What is the PAPSRS Technical Assistance Program?

· A Unique opportunity to acquire skills, resources and guidance from experienced psychiatric rehabilitation providers regarding the development and implementation of a variety of psychiatric rehabilitation programs

· Provides on/off site consultation regarding programs, such as, residential, supported employment, supported education, vocational, site-based psychiatric rehabilitation, mobile psychiatric rehabilitation, intensive psychiatric rehabilitation, drop-in centers, social rehabilitation and more

· Matches your program and technical assistance needs with an existing provider who is knowledgeable, experienced, and willing to share their expertise

Who is eligible to participate in the PAPSRS Technical Assistance Program?

· Eligibility includes agencies and organizations, both public and private, operating within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which have an identified program director and funding available to establish a new program or further develop an existing psychiatric rehabilitation program

How do I enroll in the PAPSRS Technical Assistance Program?

· Complete the attached TA Request Form here
ASAP by February 28, 2007 to ensure that your request is given first consideration. We are interested in organizations seeking immediate assistance

What is the cost of the PAPSRS Technical Assistance Program?

· This program is being made available to you cost-free as a service offered by PAPSRS through a grant from the PA Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services
